We are excited to announce that Denise Larson, of our Minot North Hill location, has won the 2015 Odin Award, from First International Bank & Trust.
Denise was nominated by her fellow colleagues for her commitment to excellence, positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile. Denise has chosen to split her $5,000 charitable donation between Michelle Larson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Minot High School ($2,500) and CancerCare in Minot ($2,500).
The Odin Award is an employee award that gives recognition each year to the person who has consistently demonstrated the Bank’s mission, vision and values. Employees are nominated by their fellow coworkers. The Odin Award is the top honor and achievement at FIB&T and recognizes employees who have demonstrated the Mission, Vision and Values at an exemplary level.
What does winning the Odin Award mean to you?
“It is such a huge honor; it means the world to me! I can’t truly express my appreciation for this award. There are so many coworkers that deserve this honor as well. I am humbled and very grateful to be the recipient this year. I appreciate the opportunity I have been given to work for First International Bank & Trust and will continue to give back to my community & LIVE FIRST!”
What charities did you choose to donate to, and why?
“I have chosen to donate $2,500 to the Michelle Larson Memorial Scholarship Fund at Minot High School. Michelle was my sister-in-law and dear friend who passed away May 23, 2012, at the age of 51. I have chosen the other $2,500 to be donated to the Cancer Care Center in Minot. Both of these charities are very near and dear to my heart.”
What is your favorite part of working at FIB&T?
“I enjoy my coworkers and I believe in the values that the Stenehjem family has incorporated into our banking family. My favorite part of my job is the relationships that are developed with our employees and customers; they are very rewarding.”
